Practices begin early in the year: The indoor practice schedule for the 2010 season is TBD. For your reference, here was the schedule spring 2009 season:
Once the weather is warmer and the league receives permission from the town to practice outdoors on a field, the following outdoor practice schedule will be invoked.
Practice locations: Indoor practices for the boys teams will be held at the Fred Bartek building (formerly known as the Attleboro Recreation Center/Armory) on 81 Pine Street in Attleboro or at the Texins Activity Center (the Texas Instruments Gym recently purchased by the YMCA) off of Pleasant Street in Attleboro. Outdoor practices are currently held at the Horton Field, which is located at the intersection of Holden Street and Starkey Ave. at the railroad bridge in Attleboro. (Other fields may be used during the spring 2010 season.) |
Lacrosse is an exciting sport, but as
with all sports, one that requires skill. Our practices and instruction
are designed to strengthen the skills of our players so that they will
be confident in their ability and in the ability of their teammates during
competition. A player who misses a number of practices will fall behind
the other players skill-wise and with regard to her understanding of the
sport. Therefore, we encourage full attendance at all practice sessions.
